The School Day
Before School
Breakfast club is available from 8am. This is a childcare facility which cost £1.50. children get to take part in a rage of games and have a healthy breakfast.
On a Monday morning from 8.30am there is an Early Bird activity taking place in the school hall.
Magic Breakfast Club takes place in the classrooms between 8.40-9am. All children are given a bagel and children have time to read independently and complete their Accelerated Read quizzes.
The Register is taken at 9am. Anyone who comes to school after this time has to enter through the front office and sign in using our online system and give a reason why they are are late. Lateness is monitored and parents are spoken to when this happens regularly.
The Morning Session
The majority of mornings are spent with children learning subjects based around their core skills. Maths, English, Phonics and Reading. See the Curriculum section for more information. On these mornings the children have a 15 minute playtime.
One morning a week all classes have an Enrichment morning where their learning is based around PE, Computing and Arts or Music skills.
Lunchtimes
Reception 11.30am-12.30pm
Year 1 & 2 12 noon-1pm
Year KS2 12.15pm-1.15pm
Reception children have 'Family Service', where dinner is served at the tables. Adults sit at the tables with pupils and facilitate the conversation and support children to serve.
At lunchtimes there a range of activities for children to take part in. There is a variety of resources and play equipment on the playground. On the Bus there is a Arts and Crafts club and in the Chalet there is a Lunch time club to support children in developing their social skills. On different days lunchtime clubs will take place; Debating, Dance, School Council, Book Club etc.
Children who have been unable to make the right choices either in lessons or at playtime will spend some of their lunch time play in either 'Reflection Time' with a member of the Senior Leadership Team for 5 mins or in "Time Out' with Mrs Nelson the Headteacher for 30 minutes or more.
The Afternoon Session
At 1pm the register is taken in the classroom, children then go straight to Assembly either in the hall or in their classroom. There is a different focus daily.
Monday - Singing Assembly Whole School
Tuesday - PSHE Class Assembly
Wednesday - Whole School Values and Current Celebrations
Thursday - Thrive Class Assembly
Friday - Awards Assembly. KS1 9am, KS2 2.30pm. On a Friday assembly parents/ carers are welcome to attend. Children who have won the Gold award and their parents, then have afternoon tea with Mrs Nelson at 3pm.
Across the week children will access a range of different subjects through their afternoon lessons, including Science and the Creative Curriculum.
The day will often end with children listening to class story.
Home Time
The school day ends at 3.15pm and parents collect children from their classrooms, designated doors or playground.

Home Walkers
Only pupils in Years 5 & 6 are allowed to walk home alone, if we have had a signed permission slip from parent or guardian.
After School
