Week Beginning 13th July 2020

Can you believe it is our last week in Reception? You have all been the most amazing children and we will miss you very much. This week, your Reception teacher will be ringing home to speak to you - How exciting!

As we think about the Summer holidays, our learning this week is centred around Travel and Transport.

Transition Week

This week you would normally be visiting your new classroom and meeting your new teacher for transition day. This year, however, you can connect through Zoom to meet your new teacher and ask lots of questions. Please look out for your letters in the post.

It has been so lovely to welcome lots of you back to school. We have also loved seeing all of your hard work at home too.

I've also added a fun painting activity on purple mash too. You can use the tools to create your own plants. 

As an extra challenge, Mrs Nettey has found some fun games that you can play online to help your maths.

Week Beginning 8th June 2020

Our Reception provision is starting this week at school. The children who are attend school will follow the learning set each day in their bubble. If you want any further details, please ring the school office on 02476 594851 and Mrs Nettey will get back to you.

We hope you have had a lovely half-term break and enjoyed some of the super sunshine. 

Reception's home learning is changing. Each Monday there will be a weekly document for you to choose activities from. Please ensure that your child is using the online spelling shed, purple mash and numbots app to support their learning at home. Mrs Nettey highly recommends the phonics app 'Teach your monster to read' (this is a paid app but is free on a laptop.)

Expressive Arts and Design/Communication and Language:
Can you use your props that you have made to retell the story?
Perhaps you could change parts of the story when you retell it! What would have happened if the bears were in? What would have happened if it were three foxes or three rabbits?

Literacy:
