October was a very fun month for Year 3. We enjoyed lots of different activities.
In English we gathered all the information we had learnt about the Stone Age and created our own fact files including: Headings, subheadings, conjunctions and commas included in a list.
In Maths we have learnt how to add and subtract 3 digit numbers and understand that the value of the digit changes depending on where it is placed.
In creative curriculum we have learnt all about life in the Stone Age. We looked at some Stone Age tool replicas and predicted what they might have been used for, learnt about hunting and gathering and used our own spears (javelins) to have a go. We even created our own tools based on what we had learnt.
In science we have learnt about different types of rocks, grouped rocks together and understand how different rocks are formed. We learnt about a famous fossil hunter called Mary Anning and completed a fact file about her life.
